Looking for a set of window seals for three sliding windows in my van. Any leads would be appreciated.
@Crankshaft Culture bought:
LH (sliding door) MB416313
RH (drivers side) MB416314
...at least, that's what he was told to buy ;-)
Yup. The other quarter window is fixed... I guess to keep the sliding door from removing people's arms.EPC also shows a MB478210 "Runchannel, Qtr Window, RH) for my van which I assume is the far rear RH (Driver's Side) sliding window run channel.

For edification &/or clarification in a Random Parts list you posted last year you listed these numbers: Rear window weather strips (leaf windows): MB859144, MB683061, MB416393@Crankshaft Culture bought:

It's indeed confusing and the drawings are near useless! First, you need to determine if you're after "weather strips" or "run channels". They are different and the part numbers, as you have seen, are different. The convo on this thread pertains to the run channels which are the rubber seals/tracks that your sliding windows slide along in.For edification &/or clarification in a Random Parts list you posted last year you listed these numbers: Rear window weather strips (leaf windows): MB859144, MB683061, MB416393
I just wanna order the correct rubber as all 3 of my '89 slider windows need new seals - and not being a glass/window guy I've had a hard time identifying what the correct part is from the parts diagram. Much thx
I think that's correct- right side rear sliding window run channel.EPC also shows a MB478210 "Runchannel, Qtr Window, RH) for my van which I assume is the far rear RH (Driver's Side) sliding window run channel.

Going to replace the seals on the three rear sliding windows (runners and weather stripping). Already have the parts.
Anyone have any recommendations, or even able to give a quick step by step for accomplishing the job?
Thank you
I did my windows a couple months ago, except mine were the popout (butterfly) style windows, not the sliders. I don't know how much of the process is the same for both styles. There was really three things that I ran into. 1) It may seem like the weatherstrip is too large. I had a huge bulge in the weatherstripping when fitting it to the van and almost decided to cut it. After working the weatherstrip in around the edge of the window the slack slowly disappeared and it fit. I had the knife ready to go, luckily I worked on it a little longer. 2) I needed two people, one inside the van and one outside the van for removal and install. That might be because it was the popout style. 3) I made sure to clean the window frame before putting the new weatherstripping back on, mine was very dirty.
Hopefully someone else can chime in with a little more experience with the sliders.
Thanks for the reply, and good to know about the slack you encountered. I'll keep that in mind.
Anyone else complete this job before?
