There have been tools that do this for many years (e.g. Wedgon #1), but I wasn't aware of anything as simple/compact as this (and the DIY copies of it that popped up since).amazing. i probably really getting too old.
i used the "tool" like this 40!!! years ago and never been even thinking it is something special
all new stuff is well forgotten old stuff
i know what you mean. i could not find a pictures of the tools that my granddad and father had in their toolboxes, but my granddad had a one-hand spring loaded 'twister' which was manufactured in 1897, and my father had screw operated twister, which could be used as one-hand 'twister' if you remove the screw. these have been for sale for 0.35 rubles in every hardware store in USSR for years. That is why i saying - new is well forgotten old. it is pity i don't know proper search term in Russian for this tool, and cannot find the picture. or maybe, the tool is not considered to be significant enough to be 'documented'There have been tools that do this for many years (e.g. Wedgon #1), but I wasn't aware of anything as simple/compact as this (and the DIY copies of it that popped up since).
