The 4d56 pajero also came with a steering box instead of a rack and pinion. Should be fairly easy to find parts for it.

No coolant loss. No milky oil. I'd say no blown head gasket.
When I blew the head gasket on my L300 the first symptom I noticed was a loss of coolant via the burning of the coolant in the combustion chamber, pressurized coolant hoses, and it was pressurizing the system so much it was dumping...
Yup! Idler arm was toast. I didn't touch the steering or suspension during the brake upgrade. Not exactly sure how it died after sitting but here we are.
I have a 1993 Pajero with non-ABS brakes. The same brakes as a Delica L300. I upgraded to the larger Montero rotors, calipers, and pads. I managed to source OEM dust shields so I didn't have to cut anything. Even put in a set of B-line performance steel braided brake lines for fun.
Looks clean...

I unscrewed one of the ends to get the boot off. The wheel is a little crooked, say 45° off of normal, but I was expecting it to be a bit off.
Never drove it in 4wd on pavement. And it’s doing this nowhere near full lock. Let’s say the 4wd system is wound up, even though I don’t think it is...
'89 L300 diesel
A few weeks ago I noticed the rubber boot covering where the tie rod goes into the steering rack was ripped. Parked van until I had time to work on it as I didn't want to get water and grime into the steering rack.
Fast forward two weeks later. Time to wrench. Undo the outer...
