Well I’ll probably just pull everything anyways when I do it. So worst case scenario that the head is cracked (with my luck it definitely is) where have people had success sourcing new heads from?? I see a bunch of sites when I google it, just looking for good recommendations.

Finally got around to test for a blown HG. I can tell you 100% that it is blown. Wasn’t even able to get the tester onto the radiator. There was so much exhaust pressure in the system that it was just exploding out of the top. since @newn is over in Taiwan he’s getting a parts list and quote...

no I haven't messed with timing at all. The only thing I have done with the turbo is adjusting the wastegate and upping the boost/fuel. but when I was really logging the mileage and seeing 12mpg my wastegate actuator wasn't even hooked up to the turbo. I think I actually managed about 14-16mpg...

well i have perma locked front hubs and fully loaded with full buildout inside. 12 may be a tad lower than normal but I've definitely seen that and lower depending on how many hills are on my drive.
