what are you doing for life?

Great thread, thanks for starting it! Been working in the cycling industry for most of my career. I'm currently living in Taiwan, the heart of it, as a "fixer". Whatever problem anyone has within the company or at the factory, that is not getting resolved, I'm diving in and finding solutions...

Brake Pedal Pulsing and feel like poo

Just got done chatting with @13mclean, he was mentioning that he has a steering shimmy when braking. Sounds like that would be a bad rotor, given your "shake the van" comment. Honestly, I cannot recall if I am getting any of that, but it's been a while. I got the process, just need the time and...

Brake Pedal Pulsing and feel like poo

Right on. Sounds like i am on the right track. Would a warped rotor(s) significantly diminish breaking performance? Any issues with drums being turned as well? Do I replace those? There is a huge price gap between the raybestos/acdelco/bendix ~$30, Brake Best$65 Napa Premium $70 and OEM...

Brake Pedal Pulsing and feel like poo

I should note that when the shop turned the rotors they checked to ensure they were still within the thickness specified in the workshop manual. That may not matter much though.

Brake Pedal Pulsing and feel like poo

Pedal feel is fine, they just don't stop. They feel like they are contaminated or on poopoo pads. I was on EBC Greenstuff and they were excellent Rear pads were Simota if I recall. They were solid. So something happened around the time when I put it away. As I mentioned, the loss of fluid...

    Any recommendations on 3D printer?

Fusion 360 has a free sub. That’s what i use. It limits what file types you can save in but .step and .stl are two that you get. You are also limited to 10 projects at once in your library but if you save to your hard disc and delete from the online library. Then you just start a new project...

Brake Pedal Pulsing and feel like poo

I'm planning on heading back to the states soon and need to tackle this. Before I parked the van the braking went to absolute shit and when I press the pedal I get a noticeable pulse. A list of the work that's been done previously. Front Caliper (right only) - 3,000 miles ago Brake Pads Front...

    Rear ac not blowing

That is the resistor for the blower. I feel like I just read this same question elsewhere. MB439234 - It's out of production. Best to reach out to Coombs Country since they have a scrap yard, or hit up anyone parting out a van.

    Radiator question.

NAY! look at my hard line.

    Radiator question.

The AT lines sitting too close to the diff has not been verified at this point but there is a theory that the subframe bushings, one at the diff, 2 at the sides being blown out would cause this. I may be able to validate this in a few weeks. I smashed the AT lines and ended up making some...

    Hyundai Parts for L300s

They have 22mm bars here in Taiwan now. You’ll have to hit up @DelicaWorks. Best to do it on IG or FB. I installed a set on my van the other day. Was on stock and they were tired. There was no reviving them. They went on easy and have a noticeable difference in the ride. My advice is that...

Steering shaft too short and looks sketchy. Trying to find solution.

Correct, sorry if I wasn't clear. I was on my phone running out the door. BJ spacers, allow for a little bit of added travel. To further expand on that, I know you know SK, but for the others… If we were to crank the torsion bars to get the lift, we would very quickly make contact between the...

    What is Delica's model?

The Chassis number is not going to give you the trim in EPC Data. Unless someone has a way to reference the data provided EPC-Data. On the plate in the van, you will see "Model" and "Chassis number". You want "Model". What you provided is "chassis number" P35W-ABCDEF You want to reference the...

Steering shaft too short and looks sketchy. Trying to find solution.

A spacer kit is a legit kit, in fact if you want a lift it’s a much better way to go. The ride quality is much better as your suspension travel while on the road has equal travel up and down. A ball joint spacer lift maxes out or close to maxes out your front travel while at ride height...

Steering shaft too short and looks sketchy. Trying to find solution.

This is the length of the steering shaft used on my 2” lift from dreamworks/t3. The subframe spacers are 50cm tall. They along with Delicaworks sell their kits with extended shafts. Mine was double jointed and shred in two. In a pinch we had to cut a stock one up and use the lower half to...
