My tailgate is also currently stuck. '92 L300
I removed the back hardboard panel thing, and I can manually move the lock rod up and down. Where the handle normally pushes something down, it won't go down far enough and there's something jamming it, but the lock rod seems like it moves freely...
Hi,
I recently embarked on a journey to replace my leaky fuel injection pump
92 L300
Here’s my current problem:
The car starts and runs if I have the accelerator pedal pressed. But if I give it no gas, it dies.
Here’s what I did:
I tried resealing it myself.
Removed and resealed the IP...
Anyone ever considered this injection pump meant for the Hyundai d4bf? Looks like it has everything in the same configuration as my zexel. I wonder if it’d also need the fuel injectors replaced like the one from Delica parts usa...
Unfortunate update:
I got everything back in place after doing my own reseal. The pump is still leaking. I’m gonna order a remanufactured one from eBay.
I have a 92 l300 4d56t
Anyone know if I can be sure this pump will fit? Or offer advice for finding a new one...
I believe all of this is true, however I had an extremely hard time getting to certain fasteners without removing the radiator and the driver’s side panel.
I wasted a lot of time, someone more skilled than me might be able to do it.
But what ended up being really helpful and fairly quick...

I reached under and found that this was just fastened from the underside..
I don’t really understand how to take off just the top cover. I really appreciate the advice, is there something you can help show me? Most resources seem not to dissemble until it’s out of the vehicle.
Ok, I ordered a reseal kit.
I was looking at the pump again and noticed this threaded hole is empty… am I missing a bolt or screw?
What should it look like?
Thank you! Do you have a good resource for replacing without pulling the pump? I think I read someone talking about doing it and needing to ensure the control shaft doesn't disengage from the governor.. but the linked article was to a blog that doesn't exist anymore.
I'm looking at this...
Looks like there is still a little weeping leak around this. What do we call it? an accelerator pump? Anyone able to identify this part? Not sure if it needs rebuilt or what to do here. Any help is appreciated.
