Electric fuel pump installed on L400

Hello guys, here I am again trying to solve some problems.

I have a 1994 Delica Space Gear automatic 2.8 TD
looking to solve some problems with the A/T light and inspecting the vehicle I realize that it has what I believe is an electronic fuel pump installed, which has not given me any problems with driving and starting great, but I am not a vehicle owner. with adaptations if the OEM things work as intended.

I'm going to post some photos to see what options you have in this regard. I'm new to this vehicle, I'm getting to know it, but I think I'm going to eliminate this system and leave it original, if you can. help I appreciate it.

The problem I have is the intermittent A/T light and the Super Select that I am trying to adjust, I am not one to see lights on the dashboard that bother me knowing that something is not right.

I believe you have the same engine I do - and the fuel pump is entirely mechanical. If you have an electronic pump fitted, it may be a crutch to help the mechanical pump which has failing seals or something similar. Thats my guess.

I am not sure about your A/T light flashing, but trace the wires and where they hook into the loom - look for corrosion; that could cause it. So too, could something with the transmission.

Yes, my engine is the 4M40 2800 turbo diesel, but one of the problems is that if you insert the key to play music while you clean or do whatever you want, the pump is on, I want to eliminate that, I am going to put a direct tube where the pump to see if the OEM system works.
