Thanks for that data point! They definitely made manual L400s, but they are quite a bit less common.
What kind of mileage are you seeing with the 4g64? What's it like up hills? Will it do 50+ up most grades?
I know this is a somewhat polarizing issue, but I felt like with the L300 it was generally accepted that the auto was typically the easier / better choice due to factory gearing and the manual had the weak/small 5th gear? We ended up with a manual anyway, but it was never a daily driver so it...
Thank goodness for all these public servants we employ to keep us safe from ourselves. Isn't Maine one of the last states where you can build without or with very minimal permits?
This underlines the problem of having such convoluted laws -- at some point anyone can get a bug up their ass and...
Anyone selling? Located near PNW, but can arrange transport from anywhere.
Miss the L300, but the sideways driving position didn't work well for me with the 3 pedals...
Thanks much!
Sorry I missed the earlier message. Install is easy, all done from outside the van. Pull the cap off at base of wiper arm, undo 10mm nut and then pop wiper arm off shaft. Wiper / battery terminal puller makes job super easy.
Bought these on a previous group buy that Scott put together (thanks again!), but Deli is gone so no longer need them. Never installed.
Would like to get $200 shipped for them.
Includes: 2 engine mounts, 2 trans crossbar mounts.
Thanks!
Agh! We tried desperately to get ready, but the weather and Amazon were not on our side... Next time...! We're hoping to go down in a week or two despite this, but would've been groovy to meet y'all! Have a great trip.
I'm new to all this, but it looks like FRS/GMRS channels 1-7 and 15-22 would be best to take advantage of the higher 2 watt limit? I'm sure someone with more knowledge with chime in shortly!
Quick update here (sorry stopped getting notifications and totally lost track), we are still a solid maybe, I'd say 80/20 at this point. Making a few tweaks to the Montero to make it a little more fun for family camping...
Picking up a couple of FRS radios... MURS looks interesting too...
