After following Growler's instructions it turns out to be a bad vacuum switch. Looks easy enough to swap out, hopefully it'll cross reference to something I can get stateside.

This morning the light was back on even with the parking brake switch disconnected. I'm hoping to have time to do the full test later today.

I checked the continuity and when the switch is in the on position I get a reading. When the switch is in the off position I don't get a reading.

The fluid level is full and there was no signs of leaking anywhere.

I'll look up how to check continuity and test it out. I do have a learning question though. How could the switch could be bad? It's such a simple contact switch with every thing out in the open ( except for the spring ). I cleaned up the points of contact and applied Deoxit.
