What Did You Do for Your Van Today?

I think it's sweet! Always wanted to build something exactly like that for cup holder + speaker enclosure.

    3m atd "8513" sealant equivalent

Yes I did install fresh run channel. I just used 3M weatherstrip adhesive. If I recall this properly, it's just for the ends where they meet. Probably anything that sticks to the rubber will do fine. The oem run channel is old new stock and still pretty stiff after being installed for a year.

    Rear DELICA light fix

Mine is, sadly, unlit. Mods please move this if there's a non-lit thread for the "DELICA" tailgate moulding. Need to rebuild mine/reattach properly to the tailgate. Moulding is in decent shape although the gasket is brittle, figured I'd use weatherstrip adhesive there. Can get the plastic...

Apparently Delica's are a challenge to insure - who do you insure with in the USA?!?

Did anyone with Progressive get the boot recently? They charged me a couple hundred bucks and change, out of the clear blue with no explanation, 3 mo. before the policy renewal and then cancelled the policy. I spoke with a few agents and they said the van was "audited and delcared an...

    What's this thing?

Kind of looks like something would slide onto it and engage those contacts...or, since there's a notch in the pop top for it my guess is it's part of what was an ignition circuit cut off so you don't drive off with the top up.

For Sale - All kinds of good stuff!

Agreed. I have those same rims and kept them just for that.

    $13,000 in Maintenance & Light Upgrades to a already functional 1996 L300!

Damn, that is gorgeous! Good looking out with the collectors insurance.

    Quick cold starting question

When it's real cold, I do 1st click, then hold gp bypass for 15s or so and crank. Usually works, still rolls some coal. My d4bf engine is stock tuned (and it's def time to check my valve clearances which might help a bit). Biggest battery I could fit w high cca, proper and tight electrical...

Did I really just blow my head gasket!?

Some easy diagnosis methods- I cut a hole in a sheet of plastic, placed over my rengine with the rad cap exposed, opened the cap and cranked. A little geyser confirmed my suspicions. Next, I drained the radiator from the petcock below and inspected the fluid, finding lots of oil mixed in...

Did I really just blow my head gasket!?

Yes, just tell the tow service you have a 4x4 vehicle.

Did I really just blow my head gasket!?

It happens fast doesn't it? The stock temp gauge seemingly goes from the midway point directly to "impromtu roadside campout". You made it much further than I did- got about 60miles down the road before mine went. At least Delica USA has a warranty, yes? FWIW, and in case you end up...

Sliding Window Seals and Weather Stripping Part #'s

Thank you but manual specs no sealant btwn sash and body, only on run channel ends. A very close look at epc solved my confusion. There's a foam tape that sticks on to the sash, not the body. 60824 in the diagram, part # MB41664. That part wasn't in the fsm for some reason so I got all...

Sliding Window Seals and Weather Stripping Part #'s

@Growlerbearnz - re-read the FAQ but can you clarify if adhesive/sealant is used when mounting the sash/window frame to the body? Manual doesn't have it. My windows all had tape. ccmickelson likes bedding compound. While I see nothing wrong with a little sealant or tape there I'd rather...

Sliding Window Seals and Weather Stripping Part #'s

Interesting. I've got 4 sliders (one spare, from a different deli) and all had tape. The version of the fsm i printed mentions sealant only to join the runchannel, specifies nothing for adhering the sash to the body. My copy is 1990, maybe I need to update?

Sliding Window Seals and Weather Stripping Part #'s

Pulled all three of my sliders to get what I thought would be a rusty mess touched up but the wells were super clean. Now I'm cleaning up the sills and prepping to get them back together with fresh run channel and bits. Last install had two sided tape holding the sash to the body well. This...

    Tire pressure

I tend to shred sidewalls so I get as much ply and protection as I can without causing a heinous on road experience. K02 and grabbers have been good to me. The house brand Les Schwab ATs on my truck have honestly performed just as well, probably see the most abuse and have pretty impeccable...

    L300 Full Swap

That looks like very satisfying work @jixaw . Funny this isn't done at factory given the benefits. I simply assumed you could give extremely helpful delica related mechanical advice in multiple languages @Growlerbearnz .

    New Paint Scheme

Right? There's nothing like these vans available, reliable (give er take ;)) and with parts available. It makes sense but is still weird. You are in Canada?
