    A/C relay troubleshooting

I believe it should change on both. I would guess your AC power switch has failed.

This is the standard wiring for a four terminal (ISO) relay...

AC cold in rear but warm up front

I would start by checking that the mixing valve/flapper actually moves and is in the right position.

    Am I wrong?

Sounds like the pivot bolt was sheared off inside the mount... That sucks, the mount is part of the oil pump/front case of the engine... hopefully you can drive it out with some heat to loosen it; but I suspect it's going to be a surprisingly sucky job.

    Parasitic battery drain

What do you mean by "removed?" Did you completely disconnect every wire? At one point I had a boost gauge that had different colored lighting for day/night... but for whatever reason the connection to the switched lighting (night time color) caused a permanent drain. I don't understand it and...

What Did You Do for Your Van Today?

There is a 10A fuse in the harness for one of the accessory switches, but I don't remember which one offhand (fog lamps?). There is no safety risk with pulling power from the fuse like you did. But it can spread the contacts and weaken the fuse connection (arcing/heat), especially if the wire...

    Parasitic battery drain

Ign and Light have the radio and clock in common (ign- switched power, light-memory). I can't think of anything else consumer wise... and it doesn't make sense the methanol shares the same symptoms. What wiring was most recently added/modified?

Crankshaft pulley bolt removal with a manual transmission

Yep, just jam the starter ring. On a manual it's part of the flywheel, on an auto it's part of the flex plate... otherwise it's the same thing.

    Help with VIN of L300

The door dip would mean it's a third gen; '86-2013. Yeah, I think it is probably a 2000 given everything else.

    Help with VIN of L300

It has a european VIN... it is the JMA series. The decoder Terence used got all of the other details correct based on the VIN and model number you provided; so I would have to guess it also got the date of manufacture correct. It also agrees with the original import documents... given all of...

Where did you find the decoder? That's the only example I've seen that seems entirely accurate in this case...

    Help with VIN of L300

If that is the third version it will have a drop at the front of the door windows. That's not apparent in the image you posted, but it may just be hidden. The third model was made from '1986-2013. It went through several facelifts and minor changes over the years; and I thought the single...

    Help with VIN of L300

EPC only recognizes JDM chassis numbers; this is a european market RHD van. In this case the P15V is the model designation, not the chassis number... if you look at the data plate on your van the top line will be similar. This is my van. The JMA identifier is the VIN/chassis number for this van.

    Help with VIN of L300

2000 for year code Y isn't for an L300 IDT... and they probably rotated year codes over time/versions. Unfortunately, the model # doesn't indicate year of manufacture.

    Help with VIN of L300

There should also be a model code, on the plate. I misstated, that is a european export vin...

    Help with VIN of L300

That looks like the last of the second generation; so '85/'86. That is a Japanese domestic VIN and the 10th digit is the year code; but Y is not listed in the manual I have available (covers '87-'95). I did find one source that suggest Y might be 1986...
