    New wheels/tires for my L300

Can't speak for all the variations of the van, but with the stock "phone dial" wheels I did no modifications and never had an issue with rubbing. I did a fair bit of offroading with the van too with 'lots' of flex and never had any rub. As I have had more time to explore other mud tires, I would...

New Member with Lokka Info to Add

I had the same issue - has to do with the thread being a sticky and not wanting it to get mucked up with random info. Tag @Growlerbearnz and he will update the stickied thread.

    1989 Delica D4BF Triple-locked, 124k miles

Technically all Delicas do, nothing special with the T-case - since it's mechanical it's always a true 50/50 split.

    1989 Delica D4BF Triple-locked, 124k miles

For sale is my one-of-a-kind offroad beast! I built this van up to be able to take me anywhere, and get there reliably. I've been on multiple trips keeping up with old XJ Jeeps and new Tacomas/4Runners - everyone is always shocked when this thing makes it through no problem! Pretty sad to be...

    Tires/Wheels

I'm running that size with Cooper STT Pros and have never had any issues rubbing, even full flex. My van is also a tad lower than stock just due to the 30 years of sag. YMMV

    Yet another tire thread

I'm on Coopers. Love them! Very good on road, gravel, rock, dirt, mud. For PNW snow, they don't seem to grip as well as others - the snow is just too wet/icy and the big lugs just throw the snow out of the way instead of grabbing on and using the snow to stick to itself like dedicated snow tires...

What Did You Do for Your Van Today?

Busy weekend, prepping for some big trips planned this summer! Took it out for a test run now that I have front and rear lockers. My god, this thing is a tank. Obviously no way I'll be doing any crazy rock crawling, but being able to get up those gnarly side trails is a real treat...

Put a hole in my fuel tank...

Yeah I left during the rain storm since I wasn't expecting it to clear up as fast as it did. Ended up heading out onto another trail and did the damage when nobody else was around  Good luck with dropping the tank! I swear I smelled like diesel for the next week after working on that...

Put a hole in my fuel tank...

I punctured my tank last summer after a DelicasNorthwest meetup when I overestimated my ground clearance and ran over a stump! Ended up draining the fuel tank and patching with JBWeld that was rated as diesel resistant. I have had no problems ever since! Quick and easy. I made sure to sand the...

What are your favorite L300 shocks?

I just sourced some Dobinsons (manuf. in Australia) and will have them installed here soon. I will report back with how they do after I've had a chance to put them through their paces. They are very reputable and were developed with offroad performance in mind. For rears, I recently put KYBs in...

Clink noise when changing gear (manual)?

I have this noise too. I just assumed it was the bushings for the transmission support that are on the list to be replaced..

    Rear Hatch Strut Options

I have a heavy rack on my rear hatch so bought some 250lb gas struts from McMaster-Carr, then just reused the mounting hardware. Still kinda struggles to hold up the 30" spare and ladder/rack system sometimes (depending on temps, altitude, etc), but it sounds like this would work brilliantly for...

    Importing New D4BF

That's me in the Bronco leaving with mine! Would absolutely recommend purchasing a D4BF from Rising Sun. Took me 4 weekends to install on my own (included some additional projects in the meantime) and it has been running like a champ ever since! It's not too far of a drive from the Seattle area...
