    Parasitic battery drain

So correct me if I'm wrong but generally the problem is with some sort of component, switch or diode that is leaking partial current back to ground?

    Parasitic battery drain

Water methanol was the last to be added, it's tied to the switched power near the injection pump, but I've removed that and still have a problem.

    Parasitic battery drain

Turns out I can have one of the wires connected and not have a problem. The one for the defrost. There must be something common to the other three. Headlights, ignition and central locks.

    Parasitic battery drain

Thanks for input, I will check it again. It's when you run out of things to check that you start to loose enthusiasm.

    Parasitic battery drain

Over 500mA. I initially thought it was the alternator but further testing reveals that it's fine. The only thing that stops it is when I disconnect the thing in the photo below and the power to water/methanol injection controller. If either one is connected to the battery I get the drain...

    Reliability

Are there any issues with the overdrive itself being overloaded?

I probably overheated it to cause the cracked head. Now that I have an egt gauge I keep it below 1400. The balance belt just came off for no apparent reason, so I left it off. That was about 2 years ago. I got the van from rising sun and they did the rad, belts and hoses. I'm running...

I think @Growlerbearnz might have mentioned not towing in overdrive if you have a tuned motor. Wondering if the same applies to climbing mountain passes. If anyone has a comment on the initial questions I would love to hear them.

92 l300 automatic.. After cracking my head (probably overheating) and being my second major breakdown after throwing the ballace belt, I said "that's it I'm selling it once I get it fixed". Now that it's fixed I've of course fallen in love with it again. What other major problems should I be...

    Dashtop gage pod repair.

Right. Acts like a spacer too. I think bottom was worse due to the mineral oil.

    Dashtop gage pod repair.

I'm imagining scraping all the foam and clamping it with the glue to the desired thickness.

    Dashtop gage pod repair.

Any tips for gluing this back together? Installing a glowsgift 3in1 in place of the altimeter and that should fit well.

    Wide band AFR recommendation

The methanol is intriguing. Feel like I'm heading down a rabbit hole but I'm learning so much. I've been using the van around the city as a work van and it's perfect for that. If I could get over Stevens Pass here in Washington without the overdrive kicking out it would be a long term keeper...

Too lean or too rich? Tuning would be the main advantage but you would also be able to see if you're getting a fueling problem due to a clogged injector etc right?

I am also looking at the JRP/spartan but they are out of stock for about a month. Seems like a nice unit. Also very responsive on customer service. https://www.justraceparts.com.au/spartan-3d-diesel-wideband-air-fuel-ratio-gauge I'm wondering if the quality has gone down at Innovative. I...

Thanks for the quick response. Apparently they fail mostly due to overly rich mixture which shouldn't be a problem for diesels correct? How's it look at night? No dimmer right?

Are people still recommending the Innovative Motorsports MTX-L? Reviews on Amazon are horrible. There also seems to be several different ones with different part numbers and prices but appear to be the same. I have had no response from IM of course...
