Howdy,

I've got this little fella in Tulsa, OK:
https://tulsa.craigslist.org/cto/d/1990-mitsubishi-delica-l300/6650823744.html

You can read the ad so I'll save you the sales pitch.
- It's really clean inside. Paid for a professional interior detail (Shampoo carpets, clean headliner, polish all hard surfaces, etc.)
- Everything works as it did when it left the factory in August 1990. Literally everything.

- Paint is original and has abrasions and small chips (If I can't find a buyer soon I'll just have it repainted and get new decals from DelicaUSA)

The vehicle left Japan via Kobe on March 9th this year. I picked it up from the Galveston port myself on April 27th, cleared it through customs personally, and drove it 550 miles home. 10+ hrs of non-stop 85mph right off the boat with no troubles at all, besides a blowout. Of course, the Delica is equipped for anything - simple tire swap with the full size spare and I was back to cruising.

I've put over 2000 miles on her over the past two months and she rides beautifully.

Since she showed up I've done some simple operations:
- Receive Clean Green Oklahoma Tag and Title
- New battery with 5 year warranty
- Swapped all 4 tires
- Oil change
- Oil filter change
- New air filter
- Fixed horn that liked to not stop honking
- Tightened accessory belts
- Replaced all stock speakers with Kicker alternatives (I kept the originals just in case)
- I also installed a Police Siren, specifically a PA300 complete with mic and 100W speaker, 100% removable - of course.

Oh, the van comes with some JDM goodies:
- Radar Detector that speaks Japanese when the cops blast you for speeding
- Turbo Timer that will leave the car on without the key for a preset amount of time

Let me know if you have questions :)

I know of no polite chime. In gear I've climbed to 120-125 kph downhill. I'll drop back down to 100ish+ when its time to go back up the hill.

That is literally petal-to-metal though. I'm sure you probably guessed that. :)

Fascinating, I wonder if my chime was added by the previous owner. What RPM are you at at 120-125?

I'd have to check to be sure but I'd guess somewhere between 3000 and 3500.
Do you live near Tulsa?

Why selling?

Why selling?

Okok, short question - long answer. Bear with me.

Growing up in the 90s and being a bit of a nerd I've always dreamed of importing.
Finally got a big-kid job and could afford to.

I love the versatility of a vehicle with more than 5 seat belts that can handle itself off-road. What really sold me on the Delica was the exclusivity and aesthetics.

Weird 80s spaceship vibe was exactly what I wanted - standing out has never been much trouble for me. Ha.

Not a dealer - this is my first import.
Honestly, I couldn't find a place anywhere on the internet that explained the US import process start to finish (with and justifiable clarity) so I decided to jump in head first and try myself. Gah - I learned a lot.

What I ended up with was this bad-ass van that I love more than any tangible object on this Earth. I drive it to and from work daily.
I perused the JP auction houses for months before finding EXACTLY what I wanted.
And I got it!

I figured if someone really wants it I'll post it online - otherwise I'll keep it forever.
