1991 Delica in San Francisco

Hello,

Selling this: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/d/1991-mitsubishi-delica/6610968599.html

Admittedly, I have it priced high because we have a lot of lumber-sexuals in SF with money to burn and don't know how to do an oil change. Happy to work out a price with a forum member.

This Deli starts immediately with no leaks or smoke. Mechanically solid. It recently got:
* fresh oil
* new oil filter
* radiator flush to establish a baseline for your future maintenance schedule.
* the roof was professionally repainted (PPG paint) because of severe sun fading. I can send you pictures per your request.
* interior detail with steam cleaning.
* 79k miles

Thanks

CA reg will be a pain. No doubt....but not a "NIGHTMARE." I've imported a few other JDM's before and successfully got them registered. Diesel is the key. Will help new buyer get their done too.

glad youve got the process covered. heard too many people here lately have to comply with CARB after trying to register theirs

Can you take a head on shot of the badge / sticker below the "Star Wagon Turbo-D" sticker on the rear hatch please? Thanks!

Yeah CARB only if it’s a direct import, which I haven’t heard of anyone getting theirs registered in CA directly. Just need to get it titled/registered in another state first then no problem.

I heard you can get it titled/registered through an LLC in Montana then could bring it in to CA.

Thanks for trying to scare all my potential buyers away Dusty :p...but glad you sold yours! Randoramma, you mean that little white sticker? Sure, but curious why? Kyre: DING DING DING. There are other ways too. It's true, dealing with CA DMV can be a PIA but this will get registered.

thats what i was talking about. sounded like a direct import if its coming from japan

It is a direct import. FYI, forum member price is $11,995 for a low mile van. Fires right up after the 2nd glowplug "click," with no black smoke on start up. Timing belt was done in 2014 in Japan. Oil and radiator flush done last month. AC blows cold. Known issues: superficial imperfections, horn doesn't work, there are some light stains on the seats.
