Auto transmission sluggish!

Hi all my Delica seems to be sluggish especially first thing! Fluid level is fine and she’s ok when trundling along in top gear but first sign of a slight incline and she goes down a couple of gears and struggles. I’ve also noticed fuel consumption has dropped significantly. Any suggestions?

Need more info...

What speed / rpm does it drop to? If I am hitting a hill in OD and I hit the gas, I will drop down a gear for sure, and if I keep at it hard, I'll go down to 2nd. I try to keep my rpm below 3300 even when shifting. My transmission is pretty shit though... so YMMV.
 
Mine is fine when just trundling around it’s just sluggish on hills just like it’s towing another vehicle! I’m going to check out the engine again
