This isn't mine but if you are like me and in CA, the registration is a big piece of the puzzle. Check this out: https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/6671899761.html
Yes yes, but was it in California? Living here, that jacks the value up a bit given the difficulty with the DMV registration. Either way, ride on.I sold mine for that much with awning/northwesty mounts/aftermarket bull bar/ lifted/ with working roof blinds
I've heard that SF is a lot easier given more exotic vehicles. That's good to hear. Especially since I've seen some nice deals in other parts of the country. Perhaps the hardest part would be direct import from Japan or indirect from Canada.yes. i live in the bay area. CA titled and reg'd. Its not hard
I have mine register from DMV SF yesterday, I did my vin verification from Michael Doyle and all paperworks I need then the guy from DMV is insisting I need a smog, I also insists it's a diesel since is 1997 and older but he said everything needs a smog here in Califronia including hybrid and electric. I'm so confused, how are you guys able to register yours?Direct import is another story. forget it in CA. but if it has a title from any other state its no problem.
Go to a different DMV. they dont know what they are talking about. or print out the smog section from the DMV website stating you are exempt. The people there are BARELY trained sometimes.I have mine register from DMV SF yesterday, I did my vin verification from Michael Doyle and all paperworks I need then the guy from DMV is insisting I need a smog, I also insists it's a diesel since is 1997 and older but he said everything needs a smog here in Califronia including hybrid and electric.
