Hello I am New to this form I have a 1992 Mighty max Truck And Was Just Wondering If anyone here has Swapped a New D4BF Diesel Into this truck? It currently has a Gasoline G64b or 4g64 Engine in it W 240,00 Miles Love it but it has been smoking a little and really leaks oil From the front timing belt area. I have replace the oil pump seals and crankshaft one too but still leaks oil. After reading all the threads on this form I Am kinda thinking of just Swapping in a new D4BF Diesel Instead.
Any thought critiques Welcome
Will I be happy or disappointed ?

i would try and find a low mileage 4d56 from japan, they are better build quality over the chinese made hyundai engine

Ohh Really Thanks But I ended up Buying one from Good Karma.
They are from South Korea .
I got it in the Truck Seems to run OK but the Coolant antifreeze Keeps turning rust color .
I've been flushing It W/ Water twice but it keeps turning rusty color.
Thinking's they used water for testings and forgot to get all the water out of the block.
After sitting it rusted the lower iron block.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Hyundai engines. Hope you checked all the torques before you installed it, those production units do not have very tight quality controls leaving the factory. Good luck.

OK Thanks I have been reading allot of your post on the other threads here.
Yeah I read about that issue but the I guess it depends on where you got it from.
According to the owner of good karma.
there are allot of cheep Chinese knock offs out there.
But i sure am not happy about the rusty coolant.
gonna have to do rust treatment remover.
Also just noticed that Started Loosing power at freeway speeds not if its a fueling problem of What?

I would contact Karma and tell them, I see your across the country, so that sucks but I would want them to solve these issues ASAP. I hope it came with some sort of warranty because it sounds like you got a bad unit, having rust issues and now power issues.

Yeah i did Try to but when i Wrote to them about the rusting the Just said that they never had any issues Before and Tried to blame it on my old radiator and hoses Then Replied that everything is new radiator and hoses and the heater is bypassed with a piece of brand new hose.
Am not really a happy camper

They also Say that the vehicle has to be in there shop to properly look at it Arrrgg.

That really sucks, I'm sorry to hear that. Of course, since they didn't install it any issues you have will be your fault, this is what I ran into when I went the Hyundai rout. Different vendor same excuse, you installed it must be your fault.
