Dash removal and heater core fix

Hey guys, my name is Cooper! Im a pretty new delica owner and my 95’ spacegear has a slow coolant leak coming from under the dash on the passenger side. From reading other posts and asking around it sounds like it’s the heater core and I’m going to have to take the dash apart. I see recommendations for the bypass but as I’m going to live in montana I want to keep the heaters working in the cab so I need to do the full fix. I’m looking for any and all advice regarding how to take the dash apart to access the heater core as well as what parts I should order for the job! I’ve been told it’s a good idea to replace the whole heater core while I’m in there since the dash is already taken apart.

Hi Cooper,
How did you go replacing your heater core?
I have a 1995 L400 Delica Diesel and attempting to replace the heater core too.
Cheers
Bec :)

Hey everybody

94 L400 with similar symptoms, living in Northern Michigan, need to keep the heat functioning.

Very interested in any insight or suggestions.

I started to take my dash apart and quickly realized it was way above my paygrade as you have to take the whole steering column out. If you are still going to give it a whirl I can give you all the info I have on it!

Hi guys,
