Tinkering with 4d56 injection pump

I've been looking into my injection pump and I'm really curious if anyone has ever played around with being able to control the case pressure.

My understanding is that the case pressure controls the pump timing advance.

Apparently there's a solenoid on one of the 4m40 pumps that limits return fuel amount, increasing case pressure, for cold start timing advance.

Where I'm going with this is that I'm interested in making more power, but want to add some safety to it so there's less of a risk of breaking things.

One thing that has occurred is that if there was a way to vent some of the case pressure affecting the advance when EGTs become overly high, then this could be one method of building in some safety for more extreme conditions.

Admittedly, I also like thinking about all this stuff as well. Lol
