Here's mine for Seattle folks:
Apex Auto in Burien https://www.yelp.com/biz/apex-auto-service-burien

Got any others?
Just got my Deli back from Eizo and his crew at Apex Auto in Burien. He was incredibly thorough, insightful and honest. You'll have to bring your own parts, but he's happy to help suggest what you'll need and where to look. I had my timing/balance belt/water pump and a load of balance and crankshaft seals/sleeves replaced. In a first, he took photos and documented before/after states and included three pages of photos with my invoice. Really quality work from a knowledgable mechanic. Highly recommended.

We recently purchased a '92 Delica from Sodo-Moto in Seattle and they also recommended Apex Auto for maintenance work. I'm glad to hear that folks here agree they're a good choice. I just booked an appointment with Eizo for a check-up later this week. I'll let you know how it goes.

@saltyadvocato Welcome! Eizo is fantastic. For repairs, make you sure you have ALL the parts. He's very thorough (won't reuse gaskets, etc.) which can be annoying if you're in a hurry, but ultimately it'll save you labor in the future.

Also - follow @delicasnorthwest on Instagram - or, just here if you don't plug into that machine - for local gatherings and outings, etc!

Can anyone suggest a mechanic on the Eastside (we're up in Kirkland)? Otherwise sounds like Eizo is worth the trip. We just purchased a new (to us) JB500 that I think has been sitting for a few years, so need to get a thorough inspection, tune up, etc.

For you guys who use Eizo at Apex, how exactly does it work to supply your own parts if you dont yet know what's wrong? Do you book a visit with him and pay him to diagnose, then you return back later with the parts for a separate visit to install them? Or does your van sit there while you go and source parts?

I usually know what's going on and have the parts ready when I go in. However, when I don't know what's going on, it's pretty simple:

-Book appointment for him to check it out
-He tells you what parts you need
-Drive home with the van and return when you have the parts

Got it! Thanks! I'm specifically thinking about by AC system which isn't working and will need diagnosis, before we can identify which of the many parts in the system could be the culprit. Sounds like an appointment to diagnose then another to repair.

Just had Beefier torsion bars installed by Zach at:

Excellent info. Thanks! I dont get back up to Bham as often as I should (WWU Grad). Nice to know there's someone up there that can be of assistance in a pinch.

Has anybody had experience with JDM Offroad Imports in Everett, WA? I believe they're mainly importers but do repair as well.

Hi Intrepidor!! Just got a JB500 myself!! Wondering if you've had any luck tracking down user manuals for the Vantech?
