What I absolutely love about forums is that it can literally solve any problem that you have (most. The rest of your weird questions are to be asked on Reddit). If your van ticks here but not there, post the question and someone is likely to come along and solve the mystery. Do you need a hand wiring up a piece of electronics? Bam, wiring diagram at your disposal. The thing is, it takes contributors to make that happen. People who give their time to write tech articles and answer questions when they could be out playing badminton or fly fishing in Alaska. These are the true heroes of the internet; the purveyors of the how-to's. This is starting to sound like a "Bud Light Presents" commercial.

That being said, it's time to introduce to you all one of the most incredible contributors that the Delica community has ever seen. Some call him God. Some call him Mr. Miyagi. Some call him late for dinner. Ladies and Gentleman, we are so excited to welcome Growlerbear to the Delica Forum! If that name doesn't ring a bell, I'll just tell you that he is responsible for some of the most helpful Delica tech articles that are on the interwebs. His incredible knowledge and love for these vans shows in every article he writes. Please take a moment to give him a warm welcome to the Delica Forum. I have put him on staff here so he will be helping to keep things organized and awesome.

Thank you Growlerbear!

Cheers all,
Kellyn

Cheers! Thank you for all of your input! This van has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. I have no experience as a mechanic much less working on diesels. This forum is and has been extremely helpful to me and I'm sure many others.

Weird to think that, in the world, there is only one “most expert” on some topic...and GrowlerBear is most likely that guy for L300s. I’d imagine he knows more than the Nippon engineers that originally made the thing because they are old, dead, or never had to deal with some of the happens-25-years-later stuff we’re seeing.

Very lucky to have you here, GBNZ!

Wow. Thanks! It's fun to be on a forum where everyone's excited about L300s again.

I just want to point out that I'm not some MENSA-level Delica-whisperer, I've just owned one since 1994 (and I'm not shy about pulling things apart to see how they work). Despite being a little quirky they're really easy to work on, even if the learning curve is occasionally terrifying/expensive.

Well it's your fault then for being so damn good at tearing stuff apart. You should have left it alone!

Thank you GrowlerBearNZ! It’s always fun to see what you’ve contributed and easy to see your love and knowledge of this fun rig.
