I had the same symptoms. Try cleaning the earth strap to body connection. Mine was a bit loose and rusty. Sometimes it worked fine. Sometimes nothing at all. And sometimes just hard to start. Oh and because it is a poor connection it gets hot...whuch increases the resistance so it gets...

Hi Macleod, The gas solenoid has a rocker switch and a push to make switch. You need to switch the rocker then push the second switch too. Instructions for removing the fridge are on my blog. The hard part is to reach under the sink and remove the screws that go through the wooden cabinet...
