First legit mountain pass trip w/ my Deli

I've run across those while searching, but wasn't sure if they'd work. I'll read the thread thoroughly and hopefully do it...

First legit mountain pass trip w/ my Deli

Those Hella driving lights really really help, but again people flash me when I use them. I might be able to align them better and get away with using them, not sure. I'd be interested in some type of conversion housing if they exist and are semi-affordable. The manual is great for going down...

First legit mountain pass trip w/ my Deli

Not sure on headlights. The van was originally imported to Canada, then eventually the USA. I would expect they were required to be converted to LHD. Regardless, it seems to be more of an issue of the intensity, not the alignment. It is like driving with a couple candles on my bumper. Thanks on...

First legit mountain pass trip w/ my Deli

I finally took my 91 Delica on a trip over the big mountain passes here on the way to my place in Keystone, Colorado. On the way out, I did a bunch of back roads then I went on I70 thru Eisenhower Tunnel (11,158 feet). The I70 bit was pretty stressful. Dropped below 40 mph for a few sections...

How many Delicas in the US? & Where are there Delica Mechanics in the US? See Map

Dunno how i missed this map for the past 2 years. Anyway, submitted my location/name. Also, as far as I know, Glen Shelley in Erie CO no longer services Delis.

2" lift shocks (the rears in particular)

Yeah, this is actually what I'm doing...the 2" extended shackles in the rear and 25mm ball joint spacers in the front. Looking to replace worn components and get a slight lift while i'm doing it. I don't think I'll even crank up the torsion bar in the front, so 1" lift is actually more correct...

2" lift shocks (the rears in particular)

Yeah, they are discontinued and I've had no luck sourcing them anywhere.

2" lift shocks (the rears in particular)

Thanks for the reply. I see growlerbearnz's post on these: https://delicaforum.com/index.php?threads/air-adjustable-rear-shock-absorbers-monroe-ma708.2418/ It looks like they require a bit of faffing about w/ the mount, which I was trying to avoid.

2" lift shocks (the rears in particular)

OK, I'm probably being dense, but can't figure out which shocks actually work (out of the box) with an L300 with a 2" lift. I think the KYB KG5494 work, but the threads I've read through aren't clear on whether those are for with or without a lift... I have the front sorted with some ProComp...

    Alternator issues

Hopefully that is the extent of my problems (and idiocy). Edit: I need to find a way to lock down the new battery. The bracket holds the battery in a position that doesn't work with the new terminal locations (the positive wires don't reach)...

    Alternator issues

Lol, thanks @Delica_Dad User error! This was disconnected and tucked behind my battery unseen.

    Alternator issues

No. Honestly, sounds like greek to me. I will investigate and check. Thanks!

    Alternator issues

Recently, my 91 Delica began having starting issues. I attributed the dead battery to having been killed several times by my daughter leaving on lights, so I replaced the battery. The van still had starting problems after a few starts and a quick checked showed low voltage. I bought a cheapo...

What Did You Do for Your Van Today?

Thanks. I think an assortment will be the way to go. It feels like anytime I touch anything plastic on the vehicle, it disintegrates...

What Did You Do for Your Van Today?

Installed some Hella Valuefit 7" Driving Lights to try to overcome the pitiful low beams on my L300. Massive difference. Time will tell if I can use them without annoying the heck out of other drivers. I did a short test drive, stopping multiple times to try to get them aimed so they illuminated...
