    4M40 Crankshaft Pulley

Basically the inner part of the pulley came out from the outer part with the grooves. Not sure if this could have caused stuff to be enough out of alignment to rub against the fan. It is still a tight fit when put back together but I guess it could wobble enough to have a belt rub on the fan...

    4M40 Crankshaft Pulley

The van has around 76,000 miles. I was 1.5 hours into a 4 hour trip Saturday when the AC belt broke. I pulled over and removed the pieces. Everything else seemed OK but I didn’t want to continue the drive to a remote area so I headed home. Not sure why it broke. I did re-install all of the...

    4M40 Crankshaft Pulley

Update to this… When I removed the crankshaft pulley it came off in 2 pieces. Pretty clear indication that this was the cause of my problems. I ordered a new one from DelicaUSA and finally got it (and everything else) put back together. Everything seems to be working the way it is supposed to...

    4M40 Crankshaft Pulley

Any ideas for replacement bearing for the idler pulley? It doesn’t seem too bad when spinning it by hand, but would be an easy replacement at this point if a replacement is available somewhere. I’m going to order a new crankshaft pulley since that is most likely the issue, but I still haven’t...

    4M40 Crankshaft Pulley

I'll take off the idler pulley so I can get a better look at it. Still confused by what could have been rubbing on the fan. All the belts were replaced in Japan before the van was imported a few years ago and they still look good. May replace them anyway since I'm in there.

    4M40 Crankshaft Pulley

I’ve got a 95 L400 with a 4M40 in it. There was a terrible noise coming from the fan/belts/pulleys the other day. I couldn’t tell what was causing it just by looking and it seemed to go away after driving it home. I’ve taken off the belts and the fan. The fan looks like it was rubbing on...

    95 L400 Seat Belt Replacement

Taking it apart is the first step in replacement so good to know that a good cleaning might be all that is needed. Just need to find the time to do it.

    Tire leaking air?

Not sure about a tire leaking air. I'd take it to a tire shop and have them check it out. Could be a nail or screw in the tire or a damaged rim. As for the wheel nut torque specifications, the factory workshop manual (which can be downloaded from a post pinned to the top of this forum) says...

    95 L400 Seat Belt Replacement

The driver's seat belt on my 95 L400 doesn't retract sometimes. It's kind of annoying driving down the highway with 1-2' of slack in the seat belt. I've removed the rear seats so I don't need the seat belts back there. Would I be able to replace the driver's seat belt with one from the rear? It...

    Source for Floor Mats?

Already shipped them off to the OP. Would have been easier to hand them over to someone local... Need any rear seats or carpet?

    Source for Floor Mats?

I've got a driver's side floor mat in good condition and the 3 that go in the back (in very good condition). Missing the front passenger mat. All from my 95 L400. You can have them for the cost of shipping if you want them.
