L400 Air Conditioning System Flushing Advice Needed

I’ll PM you later tonight with the details when I get back from work. He’s in Georgia now I believe. Used to be in Florida. Really glad I can be of help, I like giving back to the forum - so many people were so helpful for me when I was getting my Delica up and running!

L400 Air Conditioning System Flushing Advice Needed

Hi Amy - quick question - replace or rebuild? I ask because the only replacement options are going to be either used or "new" out of China (AliExpress). I've not heard good things about those - there is some good info from our buddies in Australia on those. I again would HIGHLY recommend Don...

L400 Air Conditioning System Flushing Advice Needed

That's great news. I don't know what I'd do if I found a leak - probably wait until I found out about the guy you're seeing! If you can, post his name here so that others in the regional area can have the info. I did a lot of research and was ready to try flushing my system when I found it...

L400 Air Conditioning System Flushing Advice Needed

It is. One note - I don't know what is wrong with yours. Don repaired mine and did a great job. Whilst I was rebuilding the system I discovered the problem. All of our Delicas have a different past. Mine was low mileage and beautiful when I bought it. Someone, somewhere in Japan loved it...

Delica L400 HAM / GMRS Radio Installation

I just reread your question - I did not drill on the DG mount. I found an antenna that was made for a 1/2" hole (not 3/4"). Previously I had bought one that had a larger hole and wouldn't fit (which was the link I had put in by accident - I just realized that I put bad information in the above...

Delica L400 HAM / GMRS Radio Installation

I drilled on the side where the antenna mount goes. There's a plastic bit that covers the two bolts that hold on the body panel that is removed and the DG mount replaces it. I picked an area right in the middle based on where the hole in the bracket was for the antenna wire to go through. I...

    L400 Side Window Sliders?

OK, I know it’s a bit late, but I just saw this pop-up on Instagram. Does anyone have any idea what this is or where it came from?

    Delica L400 Won't Go Into 4LLc

If anyone is reading this, my own reply is my penance for my buffoonery. I don’t use for 4 low often, so I had completely forgotten you have to push the shift lever down before you kick it in. Hopefully this is of use to someone else!

    Delica L400 Won't Go Into 4LLc

We've had a bit of snow and ice and the Delica is doing fine, however I noticed I cannot get it into 4LLc. I really didn't need to, just was testing it, and it wouldn't budge. 4H / 4HLc are fine. It feels like the option to shift there no longer exists - no binding, no resistance, it honestly...

Delica L400 HAM / GMRS Radio Installation

I wanted to install an affordable radio that I could use off road. I have been racking my brain to figure out the easiest way to do it without drilling lots of holes in my rig. Here's what I came up with - hopefully it will help someone. Firstly, I couldn't figure out how to mount the...

    L400 Flooring Upgrade

I have two labs that I take out a lot, so hair is a problem. Looking at the carpet of the Delica, it looked pretty easy to remove, so I took it out and swapped it with some PVC garage flooring I picked up at Home Depot. It was 7.5' x 14', so I was able to do the front and back, along with...

Delica L400 AC Intermittent in Cold Conditions

That's what I was thinking. Some more info - I'm at work right now - it was sunny (near Seattle) and I went out at lunch. It's currently around 50F. I started the rig and the AC worked perfect. After awhile it started to cycle, albeit in shorter intervals. During that time the fan was on so...

Delica L400 AC Intermittent in Cold Conditions

I rebuilt my AC system last summer and it has been working fantastic. I occasionally cycle it in the cold with defrosting, and have noticed that it appears to be intermittent. I pressure checked it yesterday (thinking maybe the pressure was low) and it was fine. Everything else is working...
