Steps to change Alternator on diesel L300 Delica?

Hi Y'all! Pinging this thread with some issues. I had some serious squeaking and vibrations after getting my van back from the shop where a new OD solenoid was installed along with some transmission fluid change. They said the fan belt was very loose so they tightened it. Turns out the...

Hi y’all! Experiencing similar issues. Any help or instructions on adjusting the linkage, kick down cable? Note: previously it was getting into 4th after increasing rpms past 3500 but it was not smooth. Not sure if this is connected but the issue arose when switching overdrive off. Here’s...

Automatic transmission won’t stay in 4th gear

Hi y’all! Pinging this thread with a similar issue. For context, just had the engine tuned with EGT gauge installed. Recently had ATF changed with Lucas and took a trip to mammoth mountain (elevation 9,000). On the incline had the overdrive off and was slowed to around 65 kmph with 1200 on the...

Brake & Suspension Project Parts List

Hi Y'all, Pinging this thread. Looks like my driverside inner tie rod is loose and causing uneven wear. Should I replace all front Tie Rods and Tie Rod Ends or can I get away with just replacing the one loose inner Tie Rod? Also, is there a decent aftermarket part that could cut cost? I...

    LSD Differential Noise

Parts question. Pretty sure I need to replace U joints ASAP. Rising Sun quoted around $250 for parts. Do you recommend going this route or could I go aftermarket with this repair? Coombs has AM for $160 out the door.

Which glow plug system is this?

Hey @Gardenerguy I have the same aftermarket 12v relay for my 1992 L300 and manual switch. Do you have the Bosch part number by chance? How are they working out? Also considering, @dan NGK CY57 but having trouble finding a source and confirming they are 12V. Concerned about a previous comment...

I'm replacing my engine with a brand new Hyundai D4BF, should I swap the radiator too?

@dopefish Thanks so much for the info. Steven quoted me a bit higher than that, I suspect COVID related but we will see if he can come down at all. Unfortunately there's a 3 month lead time on the D4BF from Korea.. I am actually in Santa Barbara and I think there's a few techs on the map that...

I'm replacing my engine with a brand new Hyundai D4BF, should I swap the radiator too?

Sadly I am now reading this thread! Discovered my Intake valve is broken on the first cylinder and the head is cracked as well. Not sure what I should do at this point. Steven from Rising Sun quoted me around $1,300 for a new head. @dopefish wondering what your new engine + radiator was out the...

Bad Rocker arm leads to new head gasket!

Looks like I got it to TDC and did the test. I hear air coming out the intake side... I guess it's good (ish) sign there is likely no bottom end engine damage. @Kellyn

Bad Rocker arm leads to new head gasket!

Kellyn, thanks for these instructions! I took the glow plug out for the 1st cylinder that wasn't getting compression and put a long nail in there. When I turn the crank shaft manually I haven't really noticed it moving up or down? Is there something I'm missing or does it really need a chopstick!!

Bad Rocker arm leads to new head gasket!

One of the rocker arms broke in half. I think this indicates that piston came in contact with at least one of the valves. Valve could have bent and isn’t closing all the way or it could have broke? Hopefully the position is salvageable...
