Yeah if the horizontal brace in the ladder that has the logo was just trimmed back a bit it would work too instead cut two small notches in the trim for the bolts instead of one large one. Easy fix in their end. I considered stopping and having a machine shop cut it back but was impatient. Hope...

Thanks for these pics. It’s a bigger hunk to cut out of the plastic trim than I realized and could’ve saved myself some time making one big notch instead of two smaller ones had I looked here first! Pics could be updated on your instructions. I think I that section is more for the older model.

I went with the Yakima 1A plus extenders for my high roof and it took a lot of tweaking to get enough clearance between the tower (specifically, the inside aspect of the metal clip piece) and the roof itself. I realized the door locks will be getting power and I don’t want any electricity going through that door boot until I can fix it so I’ve removed that fuse too. Am I correct in thinking the door has to be removed to access the bit and repair the short? Thanks! Newbie here

I think I found it! Bumped the door after I put the new fuse in and the lights flickered. Did it some more and the fuse blew. So now I apparently need to take the door off to assess the wiring there. Sigh.

Well I’m back. The fuse for the interior lights (#1) has blown again. Any ideas on what I should troubleshoot next?

[updated/edited post, as I solved my issue and thought I'd share] I was having the same issue as the OP. Also an aftermarket radio. Clock, radio, and USB all not working. The fuse (#12) was not blown. Cigarette lighter works fine. I couldn't locate an inline fuse but also was not been able to...

It only happened that one time and has been fine since so I'll start testing the glowplug system to see if I can sort anything. Intermittent electrical problems seem to follow me wherever I go. Thanks for the input, everyone!
