How do you re torsion the bar?Re-torsion your torsion bars and that should give your nose a lift. If you are already at maximum, then you'd need to look at lift kits.

How do you re torsion the bar?
So turn the right side torsion bar clockwise and the left side anti-clockwise is that correct? I assume the more you go up the harder the ride becomes is that correct? thxInstalling Torsion bars
Hey all, here's another installment in the "If I can do it, You can do it" Tech series. This time, we're installing Dobinsons Torsion bars on the L300. As daunting as it might seem at first, it's quite simple. I have to send a HUGE thanks out to Mr Kellyn "Rasta" Karr for supplying these bars...delicaforum.com
Has the installation steps, but...
To re-index your torsion bars...
- Measure the height of your Delica from the ground to the bottom of the front wheel arch (BOTH SIDES)
- Jack the front of the vehicle up and using jack stands support the FRAME without putting pressure on the wheels/suspension
- Loosen/Unbolt the torsion bar tensioners (as shown in the above post)
- Turn the tensioner (DOWN) 2-3 notches (depending on how high you need) and then re-tighten
- Lower the front of the vehicle and re measure
- Repeat until perfection is achieved.
From the adjuster end, yes.So turn the right side torsion bar clockwise and the left side anti-clockwise is that correct?
Not really, they are constant rate springs... the bigger issue is running out of suspension travel/topping out over bumps.I assume the more you go up the harder the ride becomes is that correct? thx
I am not looking to lift too high my current tires are 195/80/R15 about 27 inch tall, I will probably go is 30 inches tall max. On the rear from what I understand reading the threads some adds leaf spring and some replaces the shackle, since I am not lifting too high I am thinking adding a lift spring will do. I also want to add an air bag in the rear. Recommendation for lift spring and air bag is appreciated it will save me a lot of googling time. thxFrom the adjuster end, yes.

The boost pressure and EGT are not directly interconnected... you can increase the boost pressure in the hopes of making more power, or in the hopes of providing additional airflow to keep the EGTs down, by shortening the wastegate actuator rod. If you go to/above 12psi you will likely have to remove the over-pressure dump valve on the intake manifold and block the opening with a 1" steel pipe plug... otherwise it will open and you will get no boost. My engine's waste gate opens at about 11 to12 psi boost and at egt temp of about 1200 degree F. How do I increase boost and keep the temp between 950 to about 1000 F. I would to get to about 13 to 14 psi boost and keep the EGT to 900 to 1000 degree F.
The engine is comfortable at 10 psi boost and about 900 to 1000 degree f. cruising at 55 MPH. thx

At a certain point the throttle peddle becomes the EGT controller more than anything else... regardless of what boost pressure is being made.

damn look at that leaf pack! did they re-arch the main at all or just add those 3 to the pack?here is an update on the lift, added 3 springs from atlas suspension, bilstein shocks, shuckels from rising sun, 235/75r15 29" tires I could have gone to 30". lifted 4". thank you all for your help. more update to come.
they re-arch and added 3 springs, the shackles also did a great job on the lift, it is 1" higher in the back, design so that it does not sag when I am carrying up to 500 pound on my hitch carrier. I have driven it over 1000 miles with the hitch carrier I am very happy with the performance. Tomm I am adding a 1.5" wheel adapter to widen the rear and maybe the front.thxdamn look at that leaf pack! did they re-arch the main at all or just add those 3 to the pack?
We need the before and after stance shot.Visited wheel adapter shop today in Los Angeles https://www.wheeladapter.com/ this are custom made adapters.
That would take too many beer. Wish I took those pictures. Pictures below is best I can do. Rear is 3.5” and front is 1.5” The JD500 need a wider track wide.We need the before and after stance shot.
Go grab a beer, head outside, pull that spacer off, take a shot, then reinstall
And that thing is massive!!!
