Mandrel Bent Exhaust

So, next big project for me is probably going to be to replace the rusty old exhaust on my 1991 L300. I'm looking for a shop in the Seattle area, anyone have a recommendation?

It took me awhile, I found the one and only guy near me through a mention on a Corvette forum. You would think there would be more in a major Metro area...

No kidding, I plan on making some phone calls this afternoon. CCAuto.ca has a replacement set of pipes, but this is what came with the van with no performance bump. Consequently, I'm torn. The heat shield on mine is rust-ed along one side and so the thing sounds like a kettle at idle. Depending on shipping I could have this fixed very quickly, but then I'd always wonder what it would be like to open up the back end.

I'd wait, let the heat shield vibrate itself off (fixes that problem) and wait to find the ONE guy in the Seattle area who can fab it up. To spend coin on exhaust that will not give you the plusses of the 2.5 mandrel is a waste to me. Another way (you probably know this) is to order mandrel bent sections off the inter web and have somebody weld them together for you. When I feel like looking at the van again (after yesterdays incident..) I'll look at the sections that make up the exhaust. It's really just the one elbow off the down-pipe, resonator and straight piece out to the side of the van.
