As a greenie to the Delica, I'd like to know if it is tough to find a 5-speed manual trans. Would these be harder to find?

Still new to them my self but I have seen more automatic than manual.

Seems the automatics are more common... no special weakness to them AFAIK. And many of the automatics came with LSD rear axles... AFAIK, all of the manuals only have open diffs front/back.

I have a manual, but I would agree there are fewer of them on the market.

I have read on the delicaclub.com website that fifth gear is problematic on these.

How can you tell if your Delica has a LSD? Read somewhere theres a red sicker in on the drivers or passenger door? Is there any other way?

Yes there is a red label on the driver door.
I would think that you could jack up the rear end and spin the tire. If only one tire turns it's a open diff no LSD.

Kinda... if both wheels rotate in the same direction it's an LSD. If the wheels rotate in opposite directions it's an open diff.
