Year, Model: 1989 Mitsubishi Delica L300 Exceed (P25W)
Color: Arctic Blue / White
Engine: 4D56T (Turbo-Diesel)
Transmission: Automatic
Kilometers: 207k
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Price: $12,000 OBO
This is a pretty stock specimen with most of the typical upgrades and some custom goodies. I've daily driven the van for the last 2 years, and maintained it incessantly. This van (in its current state) is for the Deli owner that drives on roads 99% of the time and rips trails more occasionally. I fully intended on keeping the van for life but I have a son and things change, now I need airbags. As a result, things like paint and ding repair haven't been handled yet.
Upgrades:
DoubleDin head unit with CarPlay
Upgraded Pioneer speakers
Dual Piston Front Brake Calipers
Larger Vented Brake Rotors
Stainless Steel Brake Lines (@B-Line Performance)
Hyundai 24mm torsion bars
Powder coated alloy Montero wheels (front hub caps installed, rear still in bubble wrap)
Pirelli Scorpion 16" tires (super quiet on the road, good grip on terrain)
2.5in turbo-back exhaust (custom flange, 45 degree down-pipe, and muffler with good tone)
4mm stainless-steel exhaust manifold heat shield
4mm copper glow plug busbar
EGR Delete
Alloy radiator
Bilstein front shocks
Premium aluminized foam insulation in cabin and under cockpit seats
Maintenance:
New stock turbo (2022)
New fuel injectors (2022)
New glow plugs (2022)
Timing belt + water pump (2020)
Manifolds sandblasted and resurfaced (2022)
New fuel hoses (2022)
All diff + trans oils (2021)
Brake flush (2021)
Engine oil (every 6k miles, Shell T5)
Engine oil pan gasket (2022)
Transmission oil pan gasket (2021)
Pro or Con? (You Decide):
A/C Delete (I rarely used it, and now my radiator stays super cool, never exceeded 1/4 gauge).
Spare tire delete (It was a 15in wheel, decided to ditch the weight
Cons / Damage:
Plates are out of date (I've never been asked about it, but I also don't have insurance, so I'm probably invisible)
Paint isn't in great shape (no real rust, just faded, cracking paint)
Rear bumper shows sign of an accident, although minor, it warped metal.
Front bumper had a minor accident, bent the edge of the panel
Driver door needs a little extra muscle to close properly
Tachometer inconsistently works
Driver mirror has a piece missing
Small tear on back of rear bench seat
Rearview mirror ball joint gave out, so it doesn't really work
Coffee stains on the carpet in the front mostly and a bit in the rear
2 A/C knobs missing
Extras:
304 SS Turbo Flange (2.5in laser-cut)
Rear SS brake line from B-Line
The Delica logo plaques I took off
Thule roof rack (no keys)
Passenger Weatherseal
Front bearings and seals
Emergency bottle jack
Tire iron
Drivers manual
Matching blue Mitsubishi Mirage engineer jumpsuit (idk, I think it's cool, found it in Thailand)
Buncha keys
