1999 delica space gear electrical issues

there is a number of electrical issues i have and i hope i can get some guidance.

firstly dashboard lights come on and off randomly but mostly stay off, however all the warning lights and gauges still work.

secondly the central locking keeps auto locking every time i open the doors, i have to be very careful not to leave the keys in the car or open a window while I'm working on the car

thirdly the super select lights are all off and wont come back on after i engaged the 4LLc recently, they used to be on with the front wheel lights flickering constantly whether i was in 2h or 4h.

Generally I've found that by cleaning the contacts/plugs most of my electrical issues went away. Depending on the age and usage of the van its possible that a lot of dust, etc. gathers which over time might effect connections. So best to try that first and narrow down other issues. Your super select lights might have to do with the switches on the transmission that send signals to the dash. I remember seeing a discussion about it on the forum so worth a search.

Electrical gremlins are like moss, seem to grow more in the damp weather. Expect most of them to disappear in the late spring and summer.
The SS flashing lights are another issue, good luck. A few delica owners i know just gave up on them. I'll attempt to repair mine next month. PITA
