A/C Delete

I'm deleting the A/C system entirely. I'm designing a thermoelectric Peltier A/C that'll feed into an ongoing intercooler design, and utilize a secondary radiator. I'm sure deleting the condenser will make my main radiator a hell of a lot more efficient in the mean time.

My question is whether anyone has done this and knows the proper size of belt to replace the current single A/C belt with once it's gone. Additionally if you for-see some horrible outcome to me ripping out the A/C system, I'm all ears.

Not aware of any peltier A/C systems for cars out there at the moment as the COP for a peltier system is currently not comparable to a vapor-compression system. However I know there is a lot of research currently being done on peltier systems to try to increase their power efficiency so perhaps, if you're a researcher in that field, you may know better than others.

As far as the A/C belt, if you have a 4D56 then you can pull the belt, AC pump, idler, and crank pulley add-on piece for the A/C system. This is to say that the A/C is a tacked on system that can be completely removed relatively easily.

Amazing, thanks @SeattleKevin ! That's what I was hoping. Glad you're familiar with the state of thermoelectric research. Although advances in non-thermally conductive P and N type alloys have pushed the field as a whole recently, the COP is still definitely not ideal as you know. Luckily, additive manufacturing has enabled the complexity of design necessary to make this happen. I'll be SLM printing aluminum ducts with internal fins, using water first as an antifreeze and after to cool the heat sink. Reducing hot side temps more efficiently keeps ΔT lower, which keeps the peltier modules operating in a more efficient range.
It's by no means the easiest way to summon chilly air, I just can't get behind vapor refrigerants. The Peltier units are somewhat modular, in that the modules can be swapped out as new and improved conductor alloys are created. Luckily my Deli is just single A/C so I'd really just be using it as a cool breeze blower when I want the windows up. Just moved to LA so this project took the forefront. Anyway, just yappin' away because you seemed interested. Thanks again!
