Alternator Issues in my Delica JB470

I have owned a 1995 Delica JB470 for about 2 years now & have already been through 2 alternators. I just had a rebuilt one put in in July of 2022, & it crapped out on my Thanksgiving weekend. I live in Portland Oregon but am currently stranded in the San Francisco area.

Does anyone one have insight to why this keeps happening? Anyone know any mechanics that can help me? Thank you in advance!!

If this helps, but I have gone through two alternators in two years as well. New batteries and good wiring… thinking rebuild components may be issue

JB470 alternator is very unique, so all aftermarket alternator is not working properly unless you heavily modify wiring, etc.
I strongly recommend proper rebuilt by professional shop or go for Mitsubishi original alternator ( $$$ ). If you send it to us, I can help you though.

I was told that I could only get rebuilt alternator — Would I have to get that from Japan? I’d love your help & very much appreciate it

You are suggested to rebuild your original alternator. Do not recommend general 4d56 rebuilt alternator.
JB470 alternator is very unique.
Otherwise, you need lots of modifications to adapt.
