Aluminum Radiator, Electric fan and intercooler

Ok great, I don’t think I will get those silicone hose unless they add to the performance. Do you have this radiator on your rig?
I do have the radiator on my rig. They say they have done a redesign. If that is the case then I have the previous version.

I had some install issues which I am surprised to have never been called out by anyone. I am sure my rig isn't unique.
I am not sure if these have been addressed.
issue 1 - one of the transmission inlet/outlet tubes sits against front diff.
issue 2 - the pins that locate the radiator into the mount/seat at the bottom, are very long. the pins do not allow the radiator itself to rest on the plate and bushings. This puts undo stress on the rubber. I will try to get a pic of each posted up.

I am not sure if Evan (Delicaworks) has made addressed these issues when he came out with his. I know we discussed these problems. We talked about me doing a test fit for him prior to his going into production but nothing ever came of it.

I am dealing with T3 not Delicaworks, also do you know if the radiator is triple flow. Beside the install issue did the radiator made a difference in cooling the engine? My rig is manual transmission I may not have the inlet and outlet issue. Thx

T3=Dreamworks - Offroad Shop in Taichung specializes in Delicas. They work with manufacturers to develop and source parts. They sell in their local market and to the int'l market via facebook T3.

Delicaworks - Evan - White dude in Taichung. He was the og selling partner with Dreamworks. They went their separate ways. Now is doing his own stuff.

My radiator was the last version from Dreamworks/T3.

Having a manual you shouldn't have that issue with the front diff since the tubing won't be installed.

Someone will have to confirm this for me but I think 2 core is desirable over 3 core.
All things being equal and the radiators are the same width, a 2 row has more contact surface with the fins and is less restrictive with airflow around the tubes and fins. I would imagine there is better internal flow as well with the larger passages.

I have emailed and message Delicaworks but no response. T3 has been responsive. Thx

Yeah, no surprise. Evan is wonderful but not on top of it like Fo Sheng is.
FYI on Delicaworks — I ordered an aluminum radiator in January. It arrived in March with a dented outlet pipe. I initiated an international claim (not clear or easy) and awaited the replacement, which eventually arrived in mid-April with a dented water channel. I initiated another claim and have yet to receive a replacement. They have been good to deal with, though it is frustrating to be on the receiving end of items damaged in transit.

There has been a COVID outbreak in Taiwan. I don’t know much else other than what Evan has mentioned, which is things have slowed down significantly.

You were the dented outlet pipe guy. Dustin was stressing on it. Bummer it happened twice. I didn't realize that. Did you ever get sorted?

Not yet — still waiting on a replacement.

I am still dealing with T3, I is good to know this, i told him to package the radiator so that it does not get damage. I am trying to order other parts as well including a bull bar. I am waiting for him to tell me the cost of shipping and how long it would take to get here. I hope it does not take a couple of month i don’t have that kind of time. Thx for sharing this.

I don’t know the name of the person i am texting with, i should ask if he is Fo Sheng. here is the list of parts I am trying to get; aluminum radiator, the intake pipe that makes the delivery of air to the intake manifold more direct, set of fan belts, set of brake pad and a bull bar. He said they will put them in a crate together with the bull bar.

Do you think it make sense to order the belts and brake pads from them?

Curious. Why are you grabbing such a big item like the bullbar from tw when you have several local-ish options?
You are going a pay a mint to have that shipped if it goes air. I am guessing they will ship it ocean freight?

Have you posted in the parts wanted section of the forum?

@DelicaUSA.com - https://www.delicausa.com/parts-store/ - They Import Vans, New Parts, and have a good resource section
@GlenShelly, https://glenshelly.com/ - They Import vans and other vehicles, sometimes have parts vans.

@stevenlee at Rising Sun in Vancouver. Steven just frownie faced your post. Lol probably bc you are reaching out to TW rather than someone local. http://www.rs-import.ca/index.php He's likely your best resource for anything oem at the moment and is very responsive.

And Coombs Country on Vancouver Island. They pretty much have a wrecking yard of vans.

Ebay
Two sellers in particular worth reaching out to for used parts.
nurburgringautoparts and akinaracing
Both seem to be wrecking yards that ship out of Blaine Washington

I have tried getting the bull bar locally, posted on want to buy on the forum twice no respond. Gotten many stuff from Risingsun I think I spoke to him about the bull bar once he did not one. Since I am trying to get the radiator, thinking it can be bundled in one shipping… save on the shipping. Thx, for the other sources I will reach out to them. Thx again

We have one bushbar in stock, but it is 30 years old steel part that is not in good condition as you may polish/sandblast/paint.

Thank you everyone, just want to give an up date.

1. Ordered the Bull Bar, brake pads, fan belts, clutch slave cylinder from Steven Less
2. It turn out the aluminum radiator from T3 will not fit my rig. My rig (JB500) is really a Delica truck, not totally L300. Found someone locally to fabricate an aluminum radiator locally, so i am doing that.

Next thing i need to sort out is the 2nd fuel tank i want to install after i move the spare tire on the Bull Bar. I will start a 2nd fuel tank thread later.

Thanks again.

Bummer... hope the next ones the last one!
I'm putting in an order with him right now.
What's been the average ship time from DelicaWorks? Want to give my mechanic a heads up.

You and me both.

I placed my original order in January and it arrived in March. The second one arrived a month later.

Still no functioning replacement.

I ordered my radiator from Evan at Delicaworks in April. Took 12 days to get to SF. It was packaged really well and zero damage.

Good to know! Seems like I just got unlucky twice over.

Unfortunately, they have to wait for insurance to go through until they send me a new unit. That’s 6+ months post order, sans radiator. Oh well!

Ooof sorry about that. It’s a really nice radiator once you do get it. I bet mine was packaged really nice because of the issues you’ve had.
