Child Seats

I just bought a Delica and have two little boys. 2.5 and 8 months. The car is equipped with standard lap belts it the back but I am wondering if anybody has rigged a safer system for child seats? Maybe its not a problem but I need comprehensive information to share with my wife so she feels ok with it.

I have an 8 yo (booster seat)and a 5 yo (front facing child’s seat). I use the lap belt to secure the front facing child’s seat and I have installed a dot approved 4pt seatbelt harness for my 8yo in her booster. They sit in the middle row and I used the seat bolt on the rear seat to mount the 4pt harness to the chassis.
 
I did similar years back - four point harnesses from a land rover accessories website bolted on the captains chairs lap belt mounting points.
 
Thanks! I actually got both seats on with the existing belts but I am going to make these safer with some added harnesses and hooks.
