Hi guys, I am having difficulties finding insurance for my Delica D5 in the UK. Any advice on finding an insurer in the UK would be appreciated.
Cheers

Try using Adrian flux I use them for my l300 and are reasonably priced. Plus you get a discount if you are a member of the UK forum. They don't mind cars that are imports which can throw up issues with other insurance company s.

Thanks Grib. Would it be a bonus being a member of the UK forum? The problem is I300 is in the list of the cars they have, but D5.

Are you just looking on line ? I phoned and they were very helpful. But that was with a l300 so not sure about d5. But worth a shot

Try NFU. They insure my Delica JB500 at a fair price. And the AA cover has been handy.

@Mozak - did you have any updates on this thread? I'm about to insure a Delica D5 here in the UK. I already use Adrian Flux for a VW T25 (Vanagon for the guys across the pond), so will probably go with them, but keen to hear if you found anyone else willing to insure a grey import.

Adrian Flux is a rip off IMO. Also they are not honest. It was my first port of call and though I said I'd think about it the guy said I might as well go with them; if I found cheaper I could have a full refund with no quibbles. Found cheaper later that day, refund took two weeks, needed four phone calls and they took about £150 off it. Not ever using them again; unless you have something outrageously modded there's no need anymore. Got a really good deal from Admiral.

Ring Adrian flux so you get a price then tell other insurers and see how much cheaper they can go. Im with Brentacre. Cheaper and customer service has been great so far.
