Delica meet this summer in the Bay Area

Cool I've also posted a link to this thread on the FB group "Delica owners club" in the hopes of bringing in more folks.
 
Cool, great to see a good number of folks interested. I'm going to propose a few random times in an effort to try and nail a date.

On an unrelated note I'm heading out of SF tomorrow with my Delica and a buddy, will be roaming the south bay and potentially all the way up to Marin in an effort to go through a gas tank or two. The car sat idle for a year so I need to get all the not-so-great fuel in that tank through the fuel filter before replacing it. If anyone wants a visit and micro meetup lmk.
 
Ok so lets recap and talk dates.

What: Get a couple of Delica owners together, hang out, learn about cool Delica tips/mods from each other, try to do some cool trails.

Where: Most likely Marin Headlands, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Why? because of the likelihood that we may be able to go off road there. Open to suggestions.

When: See options below. I think we'll likely end up spending a couple of hours together, people should feel free to come and go, casual and chill we're doing it for fun.

Time wise I'm guessing we meet late morning / mid-day.

Looking forward to zeroing in on a date and time that works for most folks.

Looking forward to it, it’ll be fun to get off-road around here! I’ll be coming up from the South Bay, likely with my father.

Our time is almost always flexible, though probably the sooner dates are better. Slight chance I’ll be elsewhere at that time, but in all likelihood I’ll still be in the area, winding up what feels currently like an ever-expanding number of projects on the van ;)
 
Anyone else thinking about this? I'd love to check out @DocWong 's Delica in person with all its mods :)

Early August (any of those dates) looking better now (for me anyway). Be fun to do some trails!
 
12th might still be good, all the other days are out for me. If other folks meet up sooner, I’d love to know the location of trails to try out my 4WD on around here once I’m back in the area again! South Bay has been roasting temperature-wise, so we’re heading out for awhile here to cooler climes.

Well hell, Growlerbearnz is going to be in our neck of the woods think we might need to have a second meet up event or move the August one to then. I at least owe him a beer or beverage of choice for all the help he provided via this site when I first got my van.
 
Could be a plan! The Oxbow usually has plenty of parking, as well as beer (not just wine!)
...but don't scrap the August meetup on my account, I'm visiting friends in Napa (and will have epic jet lag) so might not last more than a couple of hours.

I think it’d be great to do the Marin headlands 4WD trails meetup in August, as well as the Napa meetup in September! Be super cool to buy a beer for @Growlerbearnz … so shiny and humming so smoothly, my new D4BF, thanks to your engine swap walkthrough and all your other tips here :)
