I just received my FTS Stainless Steel Rack from Taiwan. This baby is SWEEEEET. Forget cheap racks; this is the one to get.

Step one. Unpack your special boxes!

Step Two. Lay out the rack upside down and in an assembled fashion

Step Three. Prepare the linking tubes and fastners. You need to make sure the lock washer goes on the bolt first, followed by the large flat washer.

Step Four. Loosely install linking tubes with fastners. DO NOT TIGHTEN

Step Five. Install Finish plates with the supplied lag bolts. The ones with the 4 relief cuts are designed to go on the inboard side of the rack. The relief cuts are to make room for the linking tube fastners. Fasten but do not tighten.

Step Six.

Prepare the rack legs and fastners. Lock washers on first!

Step Seven. Have three people handy. Start from the back of the truck. Have one person holding the back of the rack and one on each side holding the legs. Lift the rack up as high as you can and walk it over the roof. When it's in a position that looks good to you, set it down on the rain gutters. You can finish by installing the latches to each of the legs. Tighten them by hand. Now proceed to tighten all of the fastners on the rack. Tighten the tube fastners first followed by the finish plates. After those are tight, tighten down the latches to the rain gutters. NOT TOO TIGHT

Unfortunately I sold the rack to a fellow l300 member. I believe I posted those specs somewhere in Delica.ca

Too bad you had to sell the rack Kellyn. I haven't seen the rack on the FTS website lately, do they still offer it? It's still the nicest rack this side of Okinawa:cool:
