Images Disappearing in Threads

So many years ago when the internet was young, Photobucket wanted to make a name for itself. It became one of the best free image hosting sites to allow direct linking. In exchange for that, they would use the images as a crowdsource photo trove. Seems like a fair trade, right?! Well, corporate finally stepped in a few months ago and cried that they weren't making 100 billion a year like Jeff Bezos and cancelled the free service, prompting users to pay to re-enable hosting or suffer the consequences. Chaos ensued. Every forum on the internet lost a metric shitload of photobucket-linked pictures. Content went into a holding pattern. DIY threads became nothing more than descriptions and red "X"s. This includes a wealth of information that I have compiled across multiple Toyota/Lexus forum. Is all lost? Did we died? F#%K no, and F#%K Photobucket.

Two things:
1: Dear Photobucket, I'll never pay for your service. Your GUI is shit, has always been shit, and you're not the only game in town. Ahh, that felt good. Moving on

2: cubeupload.com . Imagine this. A free, transparent, donation-based IMG hosting site. I recommend this to everyone who considers paying for a service, or the insane $400/year fee that Photobucket wants.

Please consider finding an alternative to Photobucket. It only takes an hour or so to get your content off of their server and onto another. Hopefully they learn their lesson and re-enable shitty, free hosting.
