Kill switch help

I had someone install a kill switch to my overdrive button.
Overdrive off = kills cranking power. (you can still hear the clicks, but if you turn the key to start you only hear additional clicks)
Overdrive on = van can crank and start (starter is engaged)

It's worked flawlessly for almost 2 years and it's pretty slick (when it worked). This last weekend I put overdrive on to start the van and it's acting like overdrive is off (clicks, no starter engaged) I pushed on/off a couple times and it started. Today it just won't start. I have power, but something is telling the switch to stay killed.

I've contacted the electrical guy, but who knows when/if he'll get back to me and I need my van working for this weekend.

I know this is not a normal Delica thing and I had someone modify but if any electrical gurus might know how he hooked this up I can at least start to diagnose somewhere. I'm going to start by digging into the shift console and see what's under there.

The overdrive switch sometimes fails. It's two switches in one- one side operates the OD Off light, the other operates the OD solenoid. It's possible for it to fail, but still operate the dashboard warning light.
