Maintenance Schedule (from owners manual):
every 5000km: Change Diesel engine oil (Petrol engines are 7500km, with oil filter change at 15,000km)
10,000km: Change oil filter, drain fuel filter water separator, grease suspension and propshafts.
20,000km: Fuel filter, air filter, check rocker clearance, grease brake caliper sliding pins
40,000km: Differential, transfer case, and gearbox oil/ATF, coolant, brake fluid flush, grease locking hubs.
100,000km: Timing belts and tensioners, water pump.

Fluids and quantities (from owners manual):
Engine Oil:
4D56 Diesel: 15W40 Diesel oil meeting JASO DH-1 (I use API CI4-plus) 6.5 litres* (6l without filter) *Verified by changing my own oil.
Petrol engines: 10W40 or 10W50 SG 3.9 litres (3.4l without filter) (Unverified)

Manual Transmission 75W-85W GL4 2.0 litres
Transfer Case 75W-85W GL4 2.2 litres
(Recommendation: Redline MT-85 75W85 GL-4)

Automatic Transmission DexronII or III or compatible (but NOT VI*) 6.8 litres (from dry)

Differentials:
Conventional: Hypoid 80W or 90W GL4 or GL5 (Front 1.1 litres, rear 1.8 litres)
Limited Slip: Castrol LS90 or LSX90 GL5 or GL6 (rear 1.8 litres)
(Recommendation: Redline 75W90 GL-5 in both diffs. You can use LSD oil in a regular diff. Most good quality diff oils are LSD compatible nowadays, if it's not LSD compatible it's probably inferior oil.)

Power steering: DexronII or III 0.9 litres
Cooling system: Water plus Mitsubishi inhibitor (or any quality antifreeze with corrosion inhibitors) approx 8.7 litres
Brake Fluid: DOT4
Wheel bearings, steering and front suspension joints, propeller shaft: Lithium based EP no.2 grease (Redline CV2 is awesome. High temp, won't separate, water resistant).

Fluid quantities are approximate. After refilling, check the fluid level using the dipstick or filler hole and correct the level if needed.

*Dexron VI claims to be backward-compatible with Dexron III, but it's too thin and causes harsh shifting in our transmissions.
