Leaky turbo

I have a smaller catch can located on the firewall where the vacuum solenoids were, also an added valve cover breather.

Can I ask what brand or model your smaller catch can is @sk66 ?

Just vent the valve cover to atmosphere instead of back through the air intake.
I wasn’t going to say it. If you do, make sure to cap the intake side.
Twas my insight as well:
Truthfully I have a hose running straight to the ground and a breather filter on my PCV intake.

Can also vouch this is the easiest/most logical place to mount it.

I picked up a provent 150 a while ago and it’s still sitting in a box.
Sorry guys, I looked back at my purchase and turns out I picked up a Provent 100. Quite a bit smaller than the 150 but according to the spec should have no problem for our engine output.

They have several part #s for the 100 I purchased part# 3931070793. This configuration has the inlet to the side rather than the rear. It will also work with an engine up to 136hp. Looks like they updated the designs and may have given the 150 the boot. But the new part #'s don't seem to appear outside of the Provent Site.

Grabbed the Provent here: https://www.dieselfiltersonline.com/search/393107079.

@Hedgehog, think of this as a glorified air filter. The dirty air enters from the side. Oil accumulates on the filter, drips and drains out the bottom. The air that passed through the filter is then sent back to the air inlet.

For the oil that drains to the bottom, you can manage this two ways: 1. help it find its way back into the sump or run a tube with a valve on the end and drain it at every oil change. This seems to be the easiest and preferred method amongst the 4WD guys.

Hope this helps.
