My first Delica...whats this? Can anyone tell me what the pole on the left hand side front is called? Looks like a little green light on top.

Can anyone tell me what the pole at the front left hand side is called and used for. I'm thinking an Antenna but not sure thanks
 
I don't think it's an antenna. Does the tip light up? I believe it's a bumper guide so you know where the front corner of the vehicle is when parking. Usually used on large semi trucks. Like these:

I guess it could also help identify the car in a snowdrift so the plows don't squash it.

Lol, yes it is a bumper guide. They are pretty popular on cars in Japan, even smaller cars. Parking spots and roads can be super tight so it gives you an idea of where your bumper is at on the far side
 
Nice looking L400. I may have to buy a new L400, yours looks so good.

The pole is to help with parking and not hitting the curb, parallel parking is a problem on both sides of the pacific ocean. Ha Ha
