Hello All.

Wanna get together? Swap parts, swap stories, ideas and methods?

I was thinking Rockaway Beach area. Going to reach out to a couple of businesses out there and see if there is interest in hosting to one degree or another. If only just providing a space to hang for a few.

I was just handed down L300 parts from a forum community member, agreeing with him to find a good home and not let them go to waste. Figure this could be a fun way of doing that.

Let's get a head count going, narrow down day and time that works.

Great barbers if you’re due for a cut or shave. Sauna and ice bath. All around good people. We can start there.

I’ll see if we can dovetail with anyone else who might have an event they have wanted to do there.

Also, there might be a movie at the new community outdoor movie spot nearby.

Rippers is great for burgers nearby on boardwalk. Or Caracas is a great place.

More details to come.

I’ll see what can be put together.

But what helps me most, and us, is narrowing the day. Probably a Saturday or Sunday?

What works best for you all, a weekday evening or sometime on the weekend?

Figure two or three hours of chopping it up, and then if you don't know Rockaway and want to explore I can point you in a few directions for great food. Delicas are very much appreciated out there.
 
Damn wish I could join y'all. Left Brooklyn two years ago and miss the hell outta Tilden and Riis. Maybe I'll make the drive back from Austin :p

Night exploring is fun, my vans got spaceship lighting. But yeah Weekends might be a better option for the masses

Just as long as it doesn't obligate us to come out for a swim in Barton Springs!
 
Ok let's try some weekends - A late afternoon into sunset session would be dope.
So I assume Friday eves are in, and Sunday eves are out.

This weekend already adventured up for me.

In the coming weeks we have 22/23 and 29/30 and Aug 5/6.

On Friday the 29th, the Wild Yaks are playing Rippers, weather permitting, and that's a real fun show.
 
As of now, let’s shoot for July 29, Friday. 5pm.

I met a Deli owner out there today who links to several others. Going to see if they all wanna join.

They have great TShirts, other merch, local makers stuff, give great haircuts, have a sauna/ice bath for a fee, and also just down to allow us to meet up there under no obligation. Cool people.

I’ll probably head to Rippers later for the show.

Is Ross a local Delica whisperer? I’ve yet to explore who can do what, here, with these Delis.

Forecast looks ok for Friday. From what I can see, maybe bit of rain around 2, and then again later in evening. Thank goodness this heat wave broke.

Can’t quote the price, as I don’t have it to memory. They are fair though. I had my Monteros done by them, same vintage. They work on all things. But I’d say bring it along. Probably the only Deli they have seen is mine, and they haven’t touched it yet other than inspection.
