Pre-Facelift LEDs

Has anyone thrown in LEDs to a pre-facelift Deli? Would love testimonials, pics, reviews, options, part numbers, you name it. It looks like a standard 4x6 to me so the options seem plentiful if so.

Mine came with them, ripped them off as the light color is the 2nd worst thing in the world. Only surpassed by the horrific light spread they throw out.

Yiiiikes, any idea what they were? Was it a rectangular diode pattern or a line? I can’t see a damn thing with my halogens and would welcome almost any other shitty temperature light.

Been running these. Not bad. The most noticeable improvement was the wider field of vision. They Required a bit of messing with the outer lights to get them to fit. Mainly due to the adapters for the bulbs. The lamps fit fine otherwise.

In think you can likely run a different bulb or adapter which might help with fitment. These have a distinct cutoff line so as not to blind on coming drivers. Just need to set em proper.

You can also just get the housing and find an led to fit.

Sweet. I think to minimize fiddling I may try just swapping the bulb and keep the housing the same. I can’t find any info in the manual or otherwise about the bulb size specification but I’ll keep hunting and report back. Would love to just throw in LED bulbs.

The bulbs that come stock are sealed (H4656) for the low beam. It's just a $10 unit that you can get at napa. If the bulb burns out you need to replace the whole thing. You need to purchase a new assembly if you want to install LED.

Ahh glad you told me, I would've tried to retrofit. I guess I'll order a pair of aftermarket LEDs that don't look like they're meant for a supervillains car and play with fitment.

Indeed I did. First car I've ever owned, still young. Getting stimulus checks atm. If they're not worth it then lesson learned. If I like them idc how much they were. Appreciate the input though.

@Lachiekerr If you can, I'd check out returning the kit you go. The link I shared is the exact same set of headlights but for $400-500 cheaper. They won't include the same harness, but I have a hard time believing that harness is worth the price difference.

Once again I appreciate the advice but I’m going to keep them. They’re an Aussie business too, and I believe that I’m purchasing a quality set which I won’t have any problems with. If I’m incorrect so be it I’ll learn. All part of it

bless that beautiful country for still giving out stimulus checks. If only Joe Biden was helping me mod this whip

The cheap LEDs are trying to copy JW Speaker lamps. If you're spending the bucks, you want genuine JW speaker. You absolutely won't regret it.

I regret just looking at that link... o_O

Are you saying those JW’s fit the L300 out of the box?
