I have an L400 and looking for someone in Seattle to work on it. I have been calling around with no luck. Any ideas?

At the moment I am stuck.
>The car will not turn on.
>The battery is charged.
>No fuses appear to be blown.
>When I open the car the light for a door being open turns on. When I put the keys in the ignition and turn the light turns of... No clicking, no revving just nothing. After this the lights for the door open will not come on again until I try again the next day.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

You may have already tried this, but the first thing I'd try is hooking up another battery...the dome light not coming on after trying to start it, then coming back after sitting, is suspicious that the battery is ok.

Even though it has new battery, have you checked the charge? If you have a short somewhere on the vehicle, it could still be dead. Good luck!

Sounds like there is a large voltage drop if you can verify that the battery is healthy. Make sure that battery terminals are clean and tight, check that the main fuses are good with multi meter, and then check ignition switch wires and of course any grounds that you find

9 times out of ten when you have an electrical issue its a grounding problem. Follow your wires from the battery to the starter. There may be a crack in one of the wire housings in the positive wire causing it to short on the frame. Look for any loose wires that may have become disconnected. Frayed wires or burnt out connections. It'll take a little bit of time and patience to trace it down but you'll find it.
