2.5L Turbo Diesel
Automatic transmission
<220,000 km, ~135k miles
Reno, NV

$20k

I posted this and then left the country to travel for a while and didn't up with the interest in it. It is still for sale (Jan 2024).

**I still have the original passenger seats and floor carpet and will sell them with the van. The camper buildout can be completely removed from the van in less than a day, with just an impact driver. I did not drill any holes in the van body or interior to install this build, so the van can be restored to its original form.

Van specs
- Active World standard features: 4WD, limited-slip rear differential, dual batteries, more robust alternator, added roof insulation, special edition color and graphics
- Special edition mirrored window film for privacy

Campervan Build
- Cali Bamboo plywood: bed platform, bench and countertops made of 3/4” horizontal 3-ply bamboo plywood
- The structure of the bed and cabinets is made of extruded aluminum, and the whole structure is bolted to the van using the existing rivnuts in the floor.
- Slide-out platform that easily converts from bench to twin size bed
- Custom yellow corduroy bench cushions with medium density foam
- Natural talalay latex 2” mattress topper from SleepEZ US (twin size, soft firmness) with organic cotton zip cover
- Color-matching durable vinyl veneer cabinet panels and doors
- Dometic Slim 2-burner stove/sink combo with glass lid and fold-down RV faucet
- 14 gallons of fresh water storage with electric Shurflo pump
- 5 lb propane tank for stove, with extra connection for future Mr Buddy space heater
- Lagun table mount system with custom table top for working and eating at the bench
- 250-watt solar PV panel, mounted to roof rack
- Bug screen on the sliding door opening
- Blackout curtains to block the cab area
- Original Delica 90’s sliding curtains on the living area windows

Off-road Upgrades
- BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 Baja Champion tires
- Baja Designs Squadron Sport Spot LED light pods
- Glowshift 3 in 1 boost and exhaust temperature gauge
- Grimm Speed manual boost controller, set to 14 psi max boost
- Custom fabricated 2” hitch receiver
- Brand new OPTIMA YellowTop starter batteries for cold cranking and powering off-road lights/backup camper loads
- Delica Works stainless steel turbo back exhaust
- Front Runner Outfitters Slim Line II roof rack
- RotoPax 2-gal backup diesel storage tank with Front Runner Outfitters roof rack mount
- Front Runner Outfitters Easy-Out 2.5m awning & roof rack mounts

Mechanical Work
- Before it was imported the head was rebuilt, timing chain was done and got a new injection pump as part of their standard procedure.
- All mechanical work after that was performed by Rising Sun Autos. All relevant OEM parts were imported from Japan.
- After I purchased it, I took the van into Rising Sun and gave them permission to do whatever was needed for it to operate at its best. I decided to have everything done up-front, so this van would be as reliable as it gets for a long time, including:
- Full timing belt kit
- New glow plugs
- Power steering and AC belts replaced
- New alternator (also comes with a spare)
- New shocks on rear hatch
- Just replaced fuel filter, transmission mounts, front rotors, pads, and calipers.

Hi Sarah,

Is the van still available? What’s the best way to get in contact to discuss the van further?

Thanks,
Walker

Just popped in to this is a crazy nice build with nearly every exact upgrade I would look for. I paid almost this much for a bone stock 96 Active World (admittedly, I probably forked up..) in 2021. Please, please someone jump on this. You will spend this much or more to build this out from a typical 12-15k Delica.

Thank you! That's really nice of you to say. It did finally sell to a local buyer recently. And I can confirm this was an insane deal. The Delica market is so niche and interesting...

It was such a beautiful build! That would have been mine if I could have registered it in Nevada I'm still so heartbroken over that ordeal! congratulations on your sale, I'm so jealous of the new owner!

I'm so sorry! I know you were bummed. The owner is in the Reno area, so you might see it out and about! Not sure if that helps or hurts ;)
