Afternoon all!

I have the 4D56 out of my l300 Delica up for grabs, I have it out on ebay right now but its essentially up for grabs for anyone who is willing to pay shipping. The short answer is it's fantastic. The swap was straightforward, one of the simplest I have done, admittedly a large portion of that is the lack of "extras" in the platform. The power difference was night and day. My old motor was in rough shape for sure, but the van hits 80 now without too much struggle; I'm not holding up the on-ramp anymore. How it compares to a well-maintained 4d56, I couldn't say but based on numbers I have seen online, it would still be a big improvement.
 
Right on. Yeah, my 1988 4D56 is a real struggle. Leaks a lot, struggles on the on-ramp, etc. But man it did the perfect job of getting the montero reclassified as a diesel instead of gas so there isn't anymore smog requirements for it in California which is fantastic. Now I think it's time for a new, peppy'er motor. How about power steering and an A/C compressor? Did the D4BF come with that or did you just swap over? And was this one of the good Karrma engines or a fleabay find?
